Watch that “Short URL” and Angry Birds The Movie?

Those of us who frequent Facebook and Twitter are familiar with the ubiquitous “short URL”. It makes it possible to save characters and shorten an otherwise cumbersom and confusing URL. Unfortunately those convenient short URL’s can also hide a path to a malware loaded dead end. I have located two websites that help you figure out where you are going before you leap.

LinkPeelr allows you to insert the short URL into the search bar and it reveals the full path so you will know if you are headed for the bushes or an interesting site. LinkPeelr also features a Chrome Extension that will reveal the full URL when you mouseover the short one.

LongURL is a similar site that works the same way. LongURL has a Mobile Expander that installs as a Mozilla Firefox extenision or GreaseMonkey script that shows the full url on mouseover for Firefox users.

Now are you ready for a laugh? The comedy geniuses at Rooster Teeth have put together this trailer for Angry Birds: The Movie. I think you will enjoy it.

The awesome sound of the NCredible NTunes is available at WIRELESSWAVE stores across Canada. For a limited time, they’re FREE with the activation of select handsets on the Rogers network, so come on down and check them out!
