iPad 2 security flaw..break in with a fridge magnet.

You feel the data on your iPad 2 is secure because you protect it with a passcode..think again! Anyone can gain partial access to your passcode protected iPad 2 by using the Smart Cover..I’ve prepared this video showing the risks.

This flaw was identified with iOS 5 but there are reports it also existed in previous versions of iOS on the iPad 2. The original iPad is immune because it wasn’t equipped with the magnetic switch for the smart cover. Fortunately there is a workaround until Apple comes up with a fix..  All you have to do is go to the  “General” tab in the “Settings” app and switch off the “iPad Cover Lock/Unlock” feature. You’ll have to turn off your screen manually when you close the cover, but at least you’ll be safe from snooping.
