Samsung Galaxy 7 Plus..Great small tablet lost in iPad hoopla

As the tech world bubbled and frothed over the newest toy out of Cupertino Samsung quietly released the Galaxy Tab 7 Plus to retailers where it sat lost amid the hoopla over the latest iPad. Too bad.

Because it is a nice little tablet.. as good looking as its siblings the Galaxy Tab 8.9 and 10.1..it’s fast too, powered by a 1.26GHz dual core processor with 16 or 32 Gb of RAM the Plus 7 was as smooth as silk scrolling through pages and apps open quickly and runs smoothly as well. There are a few hiccups from Android 3.2 Gingerbread..not Google’s best product..which will certainly pass when it gets the Ice Cream Sandwich upgrade. The screen is 1024 x 600 pretty standard for this size tablet..I would have preferred to see a slightly higher resolution..after all the smaller 5.3″ Galaxy note has a 1280 x 800 Super AMOLED screen. In any case you won’t feel shortchanged by the 7 Plus’s screen.

If you want a portable tablet and powerful that is perfect for taking on the road..it will fit in a coat pocket or a purse then the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 Plus is the one for you. Sure it is $150 more than the current 7″  darling the Amazon Kindle Fire but, it is also much more tablet.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab is available wherever Samsung Mobile products are sold for a competitive $349.99.
