When to take a bathroom break during movie? There’s an app for that!

With the summer blockbuster season upon us the combination of supersize drinks and long periods of sitting inevitably produces the “Urge”. The question is when best to head for the bathroom and miss the least of the movie…a conundrum to be sure..Well, RunPee is the answer.

The idea behind RunPee is that every movie  has a few scenes that are less important than others and can be summarized in a few words..in other words perfect for a bathroom break. However, if you’ve never seen the movie before, you’ll never know when these are coming up. So before taking your seat check RunPee, or during on your smartphone to find out the the best time to head for the bathroom. There is also a timer that will vibrate 2 minutes before “the time”.

But RunPee is more than just a timer that tells you when to go to the bathroom..it starts with a summary of recommendations..for example for The Avengers it says:

“I recommend the second peetime at 56 minutes in. It’s an important plot scene, but fairly easy to sum up. The last peetime isn’t great but it is the very last opportunity you’ll have. Non-stop action after that.”

For every pee break it summarizes the action during the period allotted for the break so you don’t lose the thread of the movie..The world has been waiting for this app :)

The latest version of this cool app also features the ability to share your thoughts about the movie on Facebook,  look at movie trailers and a quick way to search Twitter to see what people think about the movie you’re about to watch. Plus you can access the critics scores from RottenTomatoes.com from within the app. Probably best of all it  lets you know if there is anything extra after the end credits and even gives you a synopsis of the first 5 minutes of a movie in case you’re running late. Check out this video for a look at all the features:
