With about only six months to go to the rumoured launch of the next iPhone..iPhone 5? The New iPhone? iPhone+?..your guess is as good as mine..the leaks and rumours about what the next phone from Apple will look like abound wherever you look on the Internet. 9 to5Mac one of the more reliable sources of leaks from Apple just posted what it claims could be the back plate of the next iPhone.
The black and white coloring is, of course, a trim, and a large portion of the back – as you can see – is made out of metal. It appears the antenna band is moulded into the back plate creating a sort of unibody design. Some long rumoured features are obvious..the new smaller dock connector and the earphone jack seems to have been moved to the bottom of the phone.
9 to 5 Mac also laid its hands on a next generation iPhone frame that would indicate the new iPhone will be the same width as the current 4 and 4S but longer..the speculation is that the screen will be a hair under 4″ diagonally with a resolution of 1136×640 9 to 5 Mac claims the iPhone’s interface will be redesigned to take advantage of this larger screen.
Certainly these won’t be the last rumours before the launch..what do you think? Are you getting sick of all the hype surrounding smartphones where huge pre-sale numbers seem to be more important than ongoing sales?
