Angry Birds Star Wars..a mix of old and new

My first look at Angry Birds Star Wars was a Rovio video introducing the the Luke Skywalker and Leia play seemed to be the same old slingshot the birds at the pigs with the Red Bird’s Like Skywalker character getting a bit of extra power from the Light Sabre and the Princess Leia pink bird seemed to feature some sort of tractor beam but still the same dynamic. It made me wonder if the franchise was getting a bit stale.

But then Rovio released another video featuring R2-D2 and C3PO birds and a very different game play. It incorporated much of the exciting dynamics and gravity wells of Angry Birds Space.

Angry Birds Star Wars will be available on iOS and Android on November 8. It will come to other platforms later. I’m looking forward to trying it out.
