Apple to focus on education in iPad Mini launch tomorrow

With the launch only a day away Apple plans to emphasize how its new smaller iPad will be especially valuable in the classroom.

That from Bloomberg which quotes sources with knowledge of Apple’s plans at the “iPad mini” event, Apple executives will “make a point of highlighting” the educational abilities of the iPad, Bloombergreported on Monday. The report also revealed that Apple recently “realigned its education sales force to emphasize iPads.”

iPads have become popular in classrooms but its $400 price tab has been a deterrent in many cases..Apple expects the new lower priced “mini” to be more budget friendly for schools.

This is not the first time the education focus has appeared  rumours started last month that Apple would pay particular attention to iBooks in unveiling a new 7.85-inch iPad.  Apple itself even leaked an upcoming iBooks refresh last week, one one title in the French iTunes Store specified that “iBooks 3.0” was a requirement. The current version of iBooks available on the iOS App Store is 2.2.

What do you think? What else will Apple reveal tomorrow..let me know your thoughts.
