If you are looking at buying a notebook for a loved one this Holiday season you can’t go far wrong with a Dell especially with great Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals. Solidly built, nicely priced with innovative styling three notebooks I saw this week stand out as great ideas for Holiday giving..or even as a gift to yourself.
It doesn’t look like much..a little white box with rounded corners 98 mm (3.9 inches) by 98 mm (3.9 inches) by 23 mm (0.9 inch) and light as a feather at 240 grams (8.5 oz.). However, inside that cute little box the Apple Airport Express is a solid versatile 802.11a/b/g/n Simultaneous dual-band 2.4GHz and 5GHz router.
Regulars who saw my MacBook Air 11 review earlier this week will not be surprised to see I have a Tom Bihn bag for it. I opted for the Ristretto for 11″ MacBook Air..which is just a tad bigger than the one I use for my iPad..it fits the MBA like a glove.
With Fathers day just around the corner I combed through my most recent reviews looking for things I thought would make great Fathers Day gifts. I came up with a six-pack of ideas that I think will work for pretty much every Dad.
We have all become attached to our shiny touch screen gadgets..tablets, smartphones and media players but we are not so attached to the smudged screens that are the hallmark of theses devices. Every manufacturer claims to have the magic solution to fingerprints and the same for the dozens of companies selling screen protectors..but bottom line eventually the screen gets gunked up…not to mention the shiny backs. Now I have tried a bunch of screen cleaners ranging from the bottom of my t-shirt to the latest fancy microfiber..most work to some degree but I am really impressed with the Toddy Smart Cloth..not only does it do the job but it looks great doing it.
As the weather starts to warm up and I am spending more time outside I found my home WiFi network coming up short…it didn’t always work where I wanted to be…So, time to look for a new Wireless Router. I decided on the Cisco Linksys E4200v2 Wireless router.
When I think back to my early days in television the sound of dozens of typewriters clacking away as reporters and editors pounded out stories on deadline. It added an excitement that is missing with the soft sounds of the same people working on keyboards in today’s newsroom. Now you can recapture that excitement yet keep your modern computer or tablet.
Now that I have started testing Ultrabooks it was only natural that I would seek out a bag to carry them. It is equally that I would turn to my absolute favourite bag maker..Tom Bihn of Seattle, WA. He recommended the stylish Cadet Laptop Bag.
