Obstacles Keeping fit isn’t as simple as it looks treadmill routines, jumping jacks and push ups can get boring and not everyone has the time or the motivation to join a gym. Obstacles XRT may be just the thing for you to keep fit and lose weight.




Obstacles XRT is a guided fitness app that you can use anywhere to keep fit, without any extra equipment. It makes your daily exercise interesting and  time seems to fly by with highly engaging obstacle courses that include trekking over tires, escaping from quicksand, and sliding under fences. You can also challenge your friends to add a little spice to the routine.

With no equipment required, Obstacles XRT’s body weight based exercises can be performed anywhere, anytime.” Studies confirm that people are more likely to continue with an exercise program that they find enjoyable. Obstacles XRT’s progressively challenging obstacle courses gives users exciting new obstacles to take on each day.

IMG_0095When the app launches for the first time, you are prompted to fill in a fitness profile that’ll calculate the amount of calories you burn. You can then select the course that you want to complete. Obstacles XRT includes three levels of courses for the beginner, intermediate or advanced user. The more advanced routines are longer and feature activities that force you to get more physical. Each level includes three courses, so you are not always doing the same exercises over and over. Each course includes a two-minute warm-up followed by a minimum 20-minute workout. The workout mixes a 30-second activity with a 30-second rest period in which you walk or jog lightly. Fitness experts say this kind of High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) will keep your body burning calories up to 24 hours after your workout.

I gave it a try and found it did add interest to my daily exercise routine and will use it to complement my treadmill exercises. It will also allow me to keep up the routine when I am away from home.
