Extra Juice for Moto Z Play from Moto Turbopower Pack Moto Mod

Hot on the heels of launch of the new Moto Z Play Motorola has delivered the Moto Turbopower Pack Moto Mod. A 3490 mAh battery pack that gives better than an extra day of use to the already powerful built in battery.

Moto Turbopower Pack

Moto Turbopower PackBut it is more than just a spare battery; for starters it is a bit thinner than last hear’s model but the biggest change to the Moto Turbo Power Pack this year is the addition of Quick Charging. So now the Moto TurboPower Pack will charge up your Moto Z2 Play quickly when you need it to.

It can output at up to 3A, which is comparable to Quick Charge 3.0, and it’s about as fast as plugging it into the wall and charging with a Quick Charge 3.0 charger.  You won’t notice this extra oomph if you leave the mod in ‘efficiency mode’ then it lets the phone go down to 80% and then it just sips away at the power until both batteries run out in a couple of days.

The Turbopower Pack does add 6.5MM to the thickness of the Moto Play Z as well as 95 grams. Now while that extra heft if noticeable the phone is still comfortable in the hand if a bit chunky and it will run for at least two full days in this configuration.
