Garden Tech: A remote controlled sprinkler..yes I said sprinkler!

A garden sprinkler with a remote control is a reach even for me. However, I was browsing in the Kirkland Canadian Tire Store and spotted the Yardworks Solar-rechargeable Oscillating Sprinkler with ON/OFF Remote Control for $14.99 (Regular $49.99) I couldn’t resist. After all Yardworks is a good brand and the sprinkler feels solid enough to provide years of use. So off to my back yard to test my bargain.

I skipped the part where I didn’t move fast enough and got nicely soaked!

I am pleased with my purchase..the Yardworks Sprinkler has a good weight..a lot of sprinklers are too light and tend to move around..and covers a good size area. Smaller and odd shaped ares can be dealt with by using the six yellow control tabs.

If you need a new sprinkler, this is a great buy..It is one of those un-advertised specials so check out your local Canadian Tire Store..look for a stack in the aisle with the garden supplies. Good luck.

I fell in love with the idea of a remote control sprinkler so I got the same thing/deal at kirkland store.
Tried it and after 2 days, the sprinkler would go on full rotation and shoot water downward and not resume the pattern requested.
I return it for another unit The 2nd unit had a defective rechargeable battery. Consumer service only suggested to return it again for another unit but stock are running low. With my energizer rechargeable, I got it to go and it does the same thing has the first one. It goes all the way around after the first sweep and doesn t stop to resume the pattern.
Too bad because it was a good idea but poor execution in quality…
    another return on the way.
