Good stuff coming from Samsung for the Holidays

Samsung showed off its newest stuff at just in time to start  thinking of Holiday giving. A hotel suite was set up just like a home showing off the latest Samsung technology..Smart TV was the big star in the bedroom and living room.

I currently use a Samsung Blu-Ray player and have always been impressed with Samsung’s Smart TV applications. Everything you would expect and then some..There is Netflix and YouTube as well as hundreds of Samsung apps and special programming..such as an exercise channel all tied together with a powerful search application. I was impressed with the QWERTY remote which I found especially helpful for web surfing.

Samsung ties all your devices together with its Allshare feature that means you could start watching a program on your bedroom TV, switch to your Galaxy Tab 10.1 or Galaxy S II Smartphone at the breakfast table and pick it up on the living room TV when you get back from work.

The home office setup was pretty impressive and notable by the almost complete absence of cables. At it’s heart is the Central Station (available in 23″ or 27″ size) which is part HD Monitor, part Wireless docking station. The docking station in the monitor’s base contains 4 USB ports (2 x v2.0 and 2 x v. 3.0) and allows you to connect to your laptop using  Samsung’s USB Ultra-Wide Band device. Once you bring your laptop…we were using Samsung’s latest Series 9 Ultra Portable…within 5 feet of the monitor it automatically links the two together..very impressive.

I expect to get these devices for testing in the coming weeks so keep your eyes open for my full review shortly. I have already tested the Galaxy Tab 10.1 and the Galaxy S II smartphone so you may want to check out those reports.
