Wow, what an idea! Does it work for men? My wife and i BOTH changed our names to one entirely new one when we married. For her, the process was tedious, but socially supported (ie: banks and such were all to happy to help with and process paperwork, which was relatively minimal). But because i was doing it too, we had to go to court, run a newspaper ad, pay fees, get special colored stamps, have a waiting period, and more. CRAZY.

I suspect you got it right with the sociall accepted remark..I think it is the onlky exception. In Montreal we recently had a case where the hospital filed a birth registration without a middle name and the family was forced to go through the same rigamarole to correct it.

i guess i should have mentioned that this was in California, USA…just for reference. Anyway, i just sent the MissNowMrs.com folks (SUPER-cute marketing and URL) a nice letter with my story and the suggestion that there be a mirror site marketing same/similar services to men. It isn’t needed often, i know, but when it is, it IS!

Is your service available in Canada? If so is it available in all, provinces and territories?
