Power up your smartphone! With Mugen-Power batteries

We all love our new smartphones with big bright screens and fast multi-processors. Trouble is all this power takes a toll on battery life. In order to keep prices in line and the phone thin most smartphone manufacturers ship their phones with barely adequate batteries. It is not unheard of for heavy users to run out of power by noon. Now there is relief available.

Mugen Power is a leading manufacturer of high performance batteries for portable devices. It offers two products for my HTC Sensation..a 3600mAH  powerhouse that requires a supplied custom back panel..and a 1950mAH unit that crams a lot of power into the same space used by the stock battery. I decided to the the 1950mAH unit.

Mugen-Power & HTC Battery

The existing battery in my HTC Sensation was a HTC 1750mAH which is bigger than the 1520mAH stock battery that comes with this phone. The Mugen-Power battery is thus 11% more powerful than my regular battery so you would expect it to last at least 11% longer…well, I tested both batteries with the Battery HD Pro app available at the Google Play Store…It showed a whopping 34% increase in endurance. That is a good indicator of the quality of this high performance battery.

What about real world performance…I alternated using both batteries over a two month period. By the end of a 12 hour day the HTC battery was always down to about 10% and absolutely needed a charge. On the other hand the Mugen Power battery generally had 25% left after two 12 hour days..on a couple of occasions I got three full days out of it until the battery died. My usage pattern is average, I get about 150 push email messsages per day, my weather updates every hour with GPS location turned on at all times. I spend about 20 minutes on the web browser, I leave Bluetooth on all the time and I spend about an hour on voice calls 75% of them via Bluetooth. I noticed the Mugen-Power battery performed especially well under high drain situations such as using GPS.

After two months of usage I can without reserve recommend the Mugen-Power 1900mAH battery for the HTC sensation..based on my experience comparing it to a 1750mAH battery you should expect a really huge improvement  in performance over the stock 1520mAH battery. Mugen-Power has a huge selection of batteries for most mobile devices known to man. The 1950mAH extended battery I tested is available at the Mugen-Power online store for $41.95

I love my mugen battery! it’s made a huge difference in my HTC sensation 4g. mugen is the answer to the smartphone battery problem! it’s worth every penny it costs. I’m a mugen customer for life! you can find cheaper long lasting batteries but they don’t even compare to mugen! it’s truly amazing the difference mugen makes!
