Samsung MV900F A great little point and shoot with WiFi
The MV900F is the latest Samsung digital camera to join the company’s Wi-Fi enabled SMART line-up. This compact point and shoot features Samsung’s innovative 180-degree MultiView display, making it easy to capture and share creative self-portraits from any angle… and that’s not all With Samsung’s unique Gesture Shot, which uses motion-sensing technology, you can zoom and snap a photo with simple hand motions from across the room.
While the display is pretty and its iPhone-style touchscreen easy to navigate, the real surprise is a 16.3 megapixel backside illuminated CMOS image sensor, which translates into clear images, fast shooting capabilities, and enhanced HD video recording resolution. The lens is a f2.5 wide angle with a 5x zoom. Look at this solid set of features:

Samsung is really proud of the WiFi addition to this camera. The MV900F instantly connects with Facebook, Picasa, Photobucket and YouTube and devices without the need for wires or cables. At the touch of the SMART LINK button, or through the easily navigated touch screen, it is easier than ever to instantly share and securely store pictures. The MV900F seamlessly interfaces with Samsung’s line of SMART televisions, Blu-ray players, mobile PCs and smartphones for a truly painless sharing and synching across all devices.
Obvious by its absence is the mode wheel common to most digital cameras…This requires the you to go into the menu in order to switch between the various modes on the camera. You select the mode by clicking an icon as you would an app on a smartphone. Selecting a mode generally brings you back to the normal live view shooting screen with a little tooltip window showing a blurb about what that mode can do. The modes include the usual, with auto, program auto, HDR, and creative filters. Samsung also included some of their own proprietary shooting modes, such as beauty shot, split shot, picture-in-picture, magic frame.
The Samsung MV900F does not come with any internal memory so you will have to buy a Micro SD card before taking a single shot…I would get at least a 16GB card as the high resolution pictures from the 16.3MP sensor take up a lot of room., Battery life is a bit lower than average fortunately, this camera can be recharged with a USB connection, either using a wall charger or your computer.
Overall, this is a solidly built little camera..a terrific point and shoot that consistently takes really good pictures under most conditions…the flash is a bit puny with a pretty short range but the big sensor and fast lens help indoors.
Video performance is also excellent and you can expect good quality full HD 1080p videos under most conditions.
So if you want a fun point and shoot with WiFi that takes top quality pictures and videos for a very reasonable $219 (in Black or white) then this is the camera for you.
