Shop at Home Depot? There’s an app for that.

Home Depot has just launched version 2.0 of it’s iPhone app and it is a powerful tool for shoppers. You can locate the nearest Home Depot stores, set your home store and browse their catalog for details and ratings on thousands of products. It will also let you know if it is in stock at your local store. But it is also much more than a catalog..the app can help you make measurements for a project, calculate how much material you need and show you a video on how to do the job.Browsing in the store and want more information on a product? Simply┬áscan the barcode and the app will show you details of the product as well as its availability. You will notice I was using my iPad 2..not quite as practical as the iPhone but you get the idea.

The Home Depot app is available for free at the Apple App Store
