Super Bowl XLVI..There are apps for that

Getting ready to watch the big game?..chips, popcorn and beer stocked up but what about the apps. Obviously there are tons of different apps and live wallpapers available but NFL Super Bowl 3D Live Wallpaper is one of my favorites

Fully licensed by the NFL the app works on both phones and tablets, all screen sizes and has full support for Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. Once you pay for your favorite team there is all sorts of settings and options. From team ringtones, stadium background settings and more. They’ve even updated with a holiday theme and Lucas Oil Stadium options specifically for the Super Bowl. Download for free from the Android Market

Then there is the official Superbowl 46 commemorative app for Android tablets and the iPad with features about how both the Giant’s and Patriot’s reached Super Bowl XLVI, a breakdown of the game, written recaps and key stats, and “bonus feature” content like all-time, all-star teams and Super Bowl history. Video highlights of the game, interviews, pictures, animated plays and more will also be available after the game on this app.

Finally download the official NFL game program. The app will have interviews, lots of video highlights and complete team rosters. Profiles of the big stars and coaching info will be available as well. It’s perfect for supplementing TV coverage from the sofa. It’s free but is a huge 1GB download so make sure you have the space on your tablet and I suggest downloading on a WiFi connection.

Enjoy the game, and come back afterward and let me know if your team won..and what you thought of the commercials..Samsung will be promoting the new Galaxy Note coming soon to Telus.
