Use your iPhone underwater..solid waterproof case for iPhone

DriSuit Endurance iPhone CaseNow not everyone wants to use their iPhone underwater..still, there is a surprising demand for waterproof cases. They are popular with divers of course as well as skiers and snowboarders..the requirement is a solid strong case that will keep the iPhone dry in a snow bank or underwater, I saw just such a case at the Canadian Wireless Trade Show in Toronto this week.

The DriSuit Endurance case was displayed…as these cases usually are..in an aquarium..sans fish. The manufacturer based in the Ski Resort  town of Stowe, VT says the DriSuit has several features that make it stand out in a crowded market.

I found the Fluidic Touch Screen worked well but required a slightly firmer touch than on the naked iPhone and the case seem solid but lightweight and felt like it could take quite a bit of abuse. To use this case out of the water you will want to use a headset..the nature of the seals necessary to keep out the water really messes with the audio.

The DriSuit Endurance is available in Canada from Wirelessxplosion for $69.99 and at Staples, Walmart and Best Buy in the US for $59.99. Currently it fits iPhone 4 and 4s, iPhone 5 models and Samsung Galaxy S III versions are on the way soon.
