There is no difficulty finding a weather app..there are dozens..most apps use the same terminology such as the one in the graphic at the left..scattered showers in my forcast area. Trouble is..that means it could rain somewhere in the 500 square kilometers that make up my forecast area..not very helpful if I am planning a back yard barbecue. A new app from Montreal based developer Sky Motion comes to the rescue.

A bum knee keeps me away from walking or running for the chore falls to my bicycle..and now that summer is here I like to get on the bike as often as possible. Since my aim is fitness I set out to find a way to keep track of my rides..there had to be an app for my Android phone. There was more than one   and after some trial and error I settled on Map My Ride as the best for my needs.
